How we work.

BOOST works with many statutory services across Stockport as well as charities and voluntary and community groups to identify and support people who might benefit from participating in regular exercise and activity. Our partnership with health and social care professionals, prescribers and wellbeing providers means that we are well placed to offer tailored programmes and support to some of our most vulnerable residents and communities.

BOOST will provide a safe space to enjoy a range of achievable activities, providing social connection, resilience building, mindfulness, and the endorphin rush of exercise. Participants will be provided with personal support and encouragement to engage with the sessions and with each other as part of an active community.

Support services can refer patients or clients to BOOST sessions or individuals can self-refer should they wish to try an activity. For more information, please click ‘Get In Touch’ below.

Do you work with someone who needs extra support and encouragement?

We know that taking those first steps towards a new activity is often the hardest and at BOOST, we welcome link workers, support staff and care workers to come along to watch, encourage and even join in with sessions, alongside the people you are referring to the BOOST sessions.

Work with us and bring a BOOST session to your organisation.

If you or your organisation already deliver regular community or workplace activities and you feel you would benefit from a BOOST to your programme, please get in touch.

We work with all sectors to provide sessions that improve wellbeing and can work with you to enhance your offer to children, young people, adults, and older members of our communities, schools and workplaces.
